Walk 21 on 04-11-12 Langdale - Blea Tarn and surrounding. When I arrived I was surprised to see all the tops whited out with frost and snow. It was a bright chilly day but as soon as I started the walk the sun came out and warmed the cockles. I crossed the beautiful valley across from the Tarn and then went on, up to Wrynose Pass, turning left toward Little Langdale Tarn. Passing several farms and cottages along the way, from here I changed course, walking over the grassland and stones and through the becks and waterfalls on the steep fells, back toward the car. It was a perfect walking day, bright and sunny, cold around but warmed by the lovely Autumn sunshine, in crystal clear blue skies, no rain all day.
