11. On Sunday 30th October 2011. A lovely day. Latest exam finished, BCS Journal finished!  Back to the Lakes to walk Castle Crag in Borrowdale. A shorter walk in an area of outstanding beauty with a good climb and fantastic views. A very mild, sunny October day, no rain at all, delightful vistas and breathtaking panoramas. The route to the area of the crag is an easy and gentle slope with forest, caves and rivers, followed by a zig-zag scramble through the slate spoils to the peak. The views from the flattish summit are spectacular in every direction.
